Car engine turned off while driving?

I have 1996 Nissan Quest. My car turned off while I was driving. After 10 min. of trying, it started again but when I press on the gas pedal, it was barely moving and it was dieing and turned off again. After about 2 hours I started the engine normaly

Could be the battery.
