Mechanic for boat inboard...Farringdon/Lechlade UK?

Hi,
Does anyone know somebody good with engines around the Farrindon/Lechlade area? I've a problem with a petrol inboard based on a 1975 Renault engine. The problem is probably timing - but there are no timing marks on the pulley wheels
replace distributor see which leads go to which plug,,remove rocker cover turn motor till both valves are shut on no one cylinder ,,rotor arm must be pointing to same lead from dissy that goes to no one..
