How is the idler pulley attached to the floor of a Whirlpool dryer?

When the belt broke on my Whirlpool dryer, I found the idler pulley laying in the bottom of the dryer. It looks unbroken, but now that I have gotten a new belt, I am having a hard time figuring out haw to reattach the idler pulley. I have looked everywhere

The end of the spring steel blade just fits into a slot in the sheet metal bottom of the drier.
