Differences between B&S Intek Edge and Quantum engines?

Can someone with experience in the small engine field (i.e. - service or sales) tell me the major differences and benefits between the Quantum and Intek engine family? I just bent the shaft on my Intek Edge 6.5HP and will likely have to order a new one

They most likely use the exact same shaft.
